Mixxx Socket Error
This was a all around fail!
Cisco Socket Error
As soon as the servers were available (previous DJ disconnected) I clicked Options - Enable Live Broadcast and immediately got a Failed on both connections. (See image) It didn't seem to want to retry the connections. I had to revert to other DSP / Encoders. I tried it again at the end of my show. So I know I disconnected the 3rd party encoder before clicking Enable Live Broadcast, it still didn't connect. I had the station manager verify my encoder settings including passwords.

1. What do you use to test these encoders? I had to keep Preference up to see if they connected and glad I did because they didn't connect.

I can make a a port on my private shoutcast 2 server available to testers if needed. Mixxx 2.1 Socket is Busy. If you can connect to other stream servers from Mixxx it is unlikely that Mixxx is the issue. Have you tried to connect to this server.
I believe you have installed the Mixxx software in Ubantu desktop. The issue can be caused due to 2 reasons: 1)Unsupported Sample rate 2)Unknown background processes utilizing the sound card Method 1: Change the sample rate in your Mixxx options to 48 KHz (48000) and try to restart the software application. Mixxx has always worked with me in the past, but there was no pulseaudio yet back then. I just installed version 1.11.0 under debian testing/unstable and it works without any problems, even the lame sync button for dj's that can't beatmatch does the work.
