You won't, they are different operating systems, buying something for your Mac does not give you a free version of it for your iPad. But as GarageBand is now a free download on iOS (as it also is on Macs) just search for it in the App Store app on your iPad and see if you can download an older compatible version of it (you might have to download it on your Mac's iTunes first so that it's in your iTunes account's purchase history and then go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPad : Install an app on an earlier version of iOS or OS X - Apple Support)
